On June 1, in Ashgabat, in the banquet hall "Shamelek" a festive event was held in honor of the International Children's Day, organized by the public organization "Young Naturalist" with the support of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
The event included the results of the creative competition “Geljege ýaşyl ädim: Çagalaryň hereketi” (“Step into a green future: children’s movement”), held among schoolchildren across the country.
Based on the results of the competition, the winners were announced in the following categories:
Drawing:
- 1st place: Abdykerim Begenchmuradov
- 2nd place: Myalikdurdy Yakubov
- 3rd place: Gulabat Annaberdiyeva
Environmental project:
- 1st place: Kyyas Tachmuhammedov, Suleyiman Esenov
- 2nd place: Yana Dobrovanova, Sevinch Ismailova
- 3rd place: Maral Ovezberdiyeva
Waste recycling work:
- 1st place: Annagozel Kuliyeva, Ogulshirin Amanmuradova
- 2nd place: Medina Berdiklycheva
- 3rd place: Aynur, Gulnur, Dovlet Durdiyevs.
Vivid children's performances were also organized.
A master class on environmental protection was held for young participants. Children learned about methods of separate waste collection and recycling, as well as their benefits for environmental protection, according to a press release from the Young Naturalist organization.
