Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of the Philippines (with residence in Tokyo) Atadurdy Bayramov visited Manila to attend a gala reception on the occasion of Philippine Independence Day, which was held on June 12 at the Malacanan Palace.
During the visit, he also held meetings at the country’s Departments of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The Ambassador invited the Philippine side to participate in the planned international forums to be held in Turkmenistan this year.
The parties also agreed to continue work on developing the legal framework, holding political consultations in Ashgabat, as well as cultural and tourist exchanges between the two countries.
During the visit, A. Bayramov also met with the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masato Kanda. The Turkmen side declared its readiness to continue partnership with the ADB. The parties discussed issues of holding a number of events dedicated to the celebration of 25 years since the establishment of mutual partnership this year.
